Hunter was born in Marietta, Georgia and attended East Paulding High School. He moved to Franklin, NC in December 2008 to work as business development manager for a large Servpro franchise. During his eight years there he focused on client growth and relationships as well as overseeing large commercial restoration and construction jobs all along the east coast.
Strickland joined Wayah Insurance in 2016 and specializes in property and casualty insurance in Western North Carolina and North Georgia. Hunter belongs to the Franklin Daybreak Rotary Club and has been married to his wife Brittney for 5 years and they have one son Mason who is almost 2 years old.
